3. I think it has alot. Most people watch cable news at least some
My family and friends are both GOP and Dem's and most watch news on both network and cable.Actually most watch more cable than network (both CNN and Fux).

4. Hate to say this but
Cable news has as much influence on people as does ABC, CBS and NBC.
CNN years ago taught that the VHF networks were not the only ones. Fox came on trying to emulate CNN and has made serious inroads among viewers.
But its really not the cable networks that concern me because they have become pretty mainstream, even with competing political leanings.

What concerns me are the Blogs that are all over everywhere like a giant rash. Everybody and his brother posts blogs whether they have a clue to what they are saying or not and other people read those blogs and accept what they see as being accurate. Thats where the true danger comes.

A guy may be a terrific writer but a total novice when it comes to politics, international relations or just current events. What he writes can be so far off the mark as to be total nonsense. But if the material written is in a nice setting in a sophisticated website, the reader might believe that the writer has real credentials and does know what he is saying. And before you know it, total BS is being accepted as gospel.

Thats what worries me.

6. It's brainwashing a small percentage of cable viewers
Some people don't know how to recognize propaganda and they believe everything they hear and read.
