I wish Al Franken's show were broadcast in Washington, DC.
I wish Al Franken's show were broadcast in Washington, DC, over the free airwaves.

That way, it would be part of the poltiical debate.

If you have any connections to DC radio or know someone who does, please suggest they add the show.

A station can broadcast "The O'Franken Factor" without broadcasting other Air America shows.

In Minnesota 1530 AM plays "The O'Franken Factor," but it doesn't play any other Air America shows.

1. Given Franken's victory in the last ratings book
there would be a good business case to be made for picking up his show.

3. I agree. There will be more detailed ratings information
I agree.

There will be more detailed ratings information released by Arbitron in late July, so maybe that will do it.

If anyone reading this isn't familiar with the ratings information released so far, click below.

4. I wish that too,
but lots of people in DC have computers, Air America can be heard over the Internet, and I suspect many people in DC do listen. Still, a broadcast station there would be fantastic! I hope AA is looking into it.

6. Yes! And people in taxis, too!
He's a great teacher, and I think he needs to be in the debate.

Yeesh. If Drudge of all people gets quoted and used, then surely Franken should be.

7. Air America/O'Franken Factor Archives Now Up!!
I don't know when or where AAR will be on in Washington but you may be interested to know that mp3 downloads are now available. They also have archived editions of Gore Vidal's new radio show. Go to:
