NBC gives news? control to GOP-Barb Bush's Press Sec. to run things
Was anyone else laughing (you are not allowed to cry) at today's announcement by NBC that Anna Perez, communications director at the National Security Council until the first of this year, former counselor for communications to Condoleezza Rice, and former Barbara Bush press secretary, WILL BECOME chief communications executive for NBC http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/02/business/media/02nbc.html in the post of executive vice president for communications, but for this election season she is expected to have her duties expand when NBC becomes NBC-Universal after the expected completion of the network's merger with entertainment units of Vivendi Universal.

The deal is expected to be approved by June. Ms. Perez will start at NBC on May 1.

Did anyone expect GE/NBC to stop being GOP media whores?

Indeed I was laughing this morning as CNN/MSNBC/CNBC and the rest of the media made true my prediction of a few days ago..

Every Bush ad gets free airtime in our media 10 to 20 times, so they can then "discuss". But todays Kerry ad got - as I predicted - 5 seconds with voice over!

Our left leaning fair and balanced media - I wish GOP control was confined to Fox but it is not.

1. GOP is fully functioning as "embeds" with all of them. And confident
enough that this latest announcement won't cause an eye to blink except on the Left amongst us "internet folks" who know what the real deal is.

:-(

2. What "public airwaves?" We've been Bushwhacked by NBC
Maybe they could call it BushNews instead of Nightly News. And change the name of the "Today" show to the "Toady Show."

Of course, we're witnessing the beginnings of the Totaltarian Media. Nothing more that Total Propaganda, 24/7.

Remember the firing of Phil Donahue by MSNBC? It seems his ratings were going up just before Bush's invasion of Iraq. Guess they didn't tolerate so-called liberal viewpoints even then. Remember Michael Savage? The only reason they let him go was only because some of their advertisers complained.

Remember Katie Couric's 11-minute interview of Ann Coulter on the Today show? NBC had to promote her ridiculous book, which went from the bestseller list to the remainder bins a few months later.

Remember Tiny Tim Russert's softball interview of Bush a few months ago?

Hell, they just confirmed the obvious
