Re: Hardball 3/22/04: Was it deliberate that the sleazy little deputy sec'
of something or other, was being interviewed outside a gov't building as though he were a reporter??? He was shamelessly shilling for Chimp, trying to make politcal hay out of the timing of Clarke's book (never mind that it could have been out sooner had the WH not had its head up its collective fat arse) and interrupting Matthews and basically being a whiny little distractor from anything remotely honest or truthful.
Tweety kind of steered the conversation back in the proper direction, but mostly allowed the propagandist to speak his piece.
I have NEVER seen an interview of an admin official while said stooge is standing outside a gov't building with a mic and camera crew...
Was that an attempt to present what he was saying as objective??
:wtf:

2. Saw that and just shook my head
Obviously this was a sleazy little lower-tier official they wanted to trot out and lie because nobody would give a rats-a$$ when he was totally discredited. It looked like he saw the interview as his chance to make it to the BIGTIME and spewed every a$$-kissing one-liner he could come up with. It was pathetic and even Chris saw it as amateurish.

3. I thought Tweety put him in his place re "Look at the Timing. . ."
He was trying so hard to make the point that the book was political because of the publication date, and Tweety basically dismissed his point and said get back to the important questions

4. Hell yes it was deliberate.
This administration pays big money (tax-payer money) for the best advertising tricks the world knows.

Why aren't the conservatives mad about this waste of their money. Why does it take us liberals to point out the waste of money? Sheesh.

P.S. Hi granny! I'm a middle-aged liberal! Aren't these young people on this forum great?

6. The guy looked like an idiot...
...and by 9:00, on Norville, he was done. Also, the building to his right looked like a former World Trade Tower.
