Cable news networks, campaign coverage and market share.

Lots of people here, myself included, worry a lot about how the cable news networks are handling the campaign and John Kerry. However, I was thinking, as Will Pitt pointed out, that maybe not too many people watch these channels. Mr. Pitt brings up the number 2.1 a lot. What does this mean? Could someone tell me how many people get their information from CNN, MSNBC and FOX, and how many only watch the nightly news (which is much more objective and puts out all the bad news for Bush* in a more balanced way)?

1. Each rating point represents about a million viewers

FOX news has the most viewers of the News networks with about 2.5 million viewers daily. CNN comes in second and MSNBC comes in third.

Now on to the good news The Daily Show has about 12 million viewers a day and Letterman has atleast 25 million viewers a night.

Studies show that more and more people get their news from late night talk shows that the actual news, considering that all the late night talk shows, with the exception of Leno the ho are pretty liberal. Even Kilborn occassionally lets on that he is not a completely stupid asshole.
