The anchor is an airhead

Back on the old forum, in the Media area, there was a thread titled "What network anchorperson is the epitome of 'airhead'?"

Various people nominated their choices, and I nominated Rudi Bakhtiar of CNN. Since then, I've received a fair number of hostile e-mails from Bakhtiar adulators -- calling me names and/or demanding that I explain myself.

It sounds even more derogatory than "airhead". Doc_T, do they use that word in Germany, or did you just translate the two parts?

Not a common word in German. Holzkopf, Strohkopf and Hohlkopf are common terms for people like that.
