Healthcare reform is doomed
Just saw another lie filled ad on CNN saying reform will take money from seniors via medicare and make end of life decisions for them. The announcers voice is the same one I've heard on countless right wing propaganda spots for years.Lets face it they control the message. Control the message and you control the people. Their is no private money pushing healthcare reform. The only voices are a few progressive talkers who are overshadowed ten to one by the Limbaughs and Becks in the media. And now even town hall meetings are being shut down via corporate intimidation. There is no hope for reform under these conditions.

1. Yeah. These same kinds of ads are exactly what derailed Obama's campaign.
That's why I quit the campaign and went home defeated.

3. Give up now, Your Corporate Overlords will take care of you.
Don't look behind that curtain.

2. This is worse then the campaign
There is no George Bush failed leadership to run against. They have brainwashed the masses about what universal (or even single payer) healthcare is.

4. They could run against health care CEOs
But those commercials showing their lavish excesses while their policyholders die are having a little trouble getting air time.

5. Perhaps THIS healthcare reform is doomed.... so, turn off your
cable teevee and quit buying from the corps that spew this crap. A real nationwide boycott of the thieving corps would help.

What can you give up to make it happen? That B of A account, that shopping at Wal-Mart instead of the local stores, those retirement investments in Chase? Cancel your subscriptions to all the RW newspapers/cable/satellite corporations, invest in people. Join local food co-ops, stop buying all that crap you don't need. Go local.

6.  All great things to do
But how does that stop the brainwashing of the masses?

8. stop your own. The corporations have a life (death) of their own.
They are not within our control. I think we have to withdraw their nutrients (our money). Among other things.

7. Welcome to DU.
While I agree with your basic premise about who controls the message, PhARMA is planning to spend a lot of money on TV ads supporting reform.

They want more customers.

9. I did see one pro reform ad sponsered by pharma
Harry and Louise 15 years later. Ironic that big pharma is in favor of it. (as long as thier prices are not regulated)
