BBC America cancelled BBC World News from its lineup.
I'm so disappointed. I can't tolerate our morning news shows... none of them. That was the only one I could watch.

Now not only will I not be able to listen to decent coverage of world events during my morning routine, but I will also miss their coverage of sports (they cover the Premiership, which I love).

I'm so very, very disheartened by this. :(

1. That is too bad because that news is the only one we have that gives
us another view of events. Now we get to interpret it all by ourselves.

3. I thought all of this malarkey would stop once
...Obama was elected.

I think remnants of the neocon cabal still have their talons in a lot of different areas--and are still
making decisions.

I don't fault Obama. He's up against a sociopathic crime syndicate.

Somehow I feel like the Presidency has been rendered ineffectual with regard to many important decisions. And I'm
not only talking about what media we are allowed to see. It's much more than that, but this story is one example of
how the walls seem to be closing in.

6. Anybody planning on writing them about it? I'll do it now.

Anybody with me?

The right wingers and the nuts are always more organized about letter-writing than the good guys. If we put as much energy into voicing opinions to corporations as we do to each other, we'd get even more done.

Enough talking about it...I'm off to https://www.bbcglobalminds.com/Portal/default.aspx or, maybe even better http://www.bbcamerica.com/viewer_relations.jsp.

They don't make it easy to comment, but it's worth it not to have to listen to the opinions of the CNN Desperate Housewives or Matt Lauer talking about how some poor woman went through the hell of diaper rash with her triplets.

7. You guys should see the BBC America forums this morning...
They're full of people posting about the loss of the news and admin telling them not to post spam in other forums. The loyal viewers are pissed.

8. Watch Al Jazzera English online via livestation.com -- free.
Download the livestation player and then you can pick among various channels (BBC TV not included).
