1. Well, no...because he didn't say it.
To be absolutely fair, the "How do we beat the bitch" thing is just very silly.

I'm sure at least a few Obama supporters asked the same thing during the primaries.

2. McCain laughed when that question was asked, as did his
audience. If nothing else, he should have objected to the B word being used about any women and a US Senator.

Add that to his fondness for rape jokes and disgusting joke about Chelsea and there is a good case to be made that his sudden conversion to 'feminism' is nothing but a campaign gimmick.

3. We're just talking about the "beat the bitch" comment.
McCain's response to a supporter's comment at a fundraiser was not inappropriate at all. He ave it a good-natured chuckle and moved on.

Go for the Chelsea joke...go for the ape rape joke...the "beat the bitch" issue is a loser.

4. I respectfully disagree. I found his chuckle to be very
offensive. He can't control his audience, but his chuckle speaks volumes to me.

5. He was playing the game...and most people recognize that.
...because most of us have been in a similar situation and behaved similarly.

I think an ad showing his Chelsea statement with a big "SEXIST?" graphic would be much more effective.

6. His camp is attacking Obama for what they have redirected as a sexist attack
on Palin ... when, like in the Kerry "botched joke", anybody not in their Big R Right mind would know that Obama was referring to McCain.

However, McCain did not correct the person asking the question, and got a good chuckle out of it. Now, the Media is hyping a non-issue as "FACT" ... to the benefit of McCain. But they never asked McCain to live up to the standards he is now demanding of Obama.
