Former CC CEO buys out Democracy Radio share of Ed Schultz show

While Ed does have a decade long relationship with Clear Channel (as his regional show was produced and distributed by them), it will be intresting to see what direction his show takes without Democracy Now backing.

Randy Michaels' Radioactive Buys Stake In
Ed Schultz Show


Michaels — formerly CEO of Clear Channel Radio and now President of Radioactive — purchases Democracy Radio's share of the syndicated liberal talker's program that is distributed and sold nationally by Jones Radio Network. The show was launched in January 2004 by Democracy Radio principles Tom Athans and Paul Fiddick to "combat the right-wing dominance of talk radio." The program now airs on a reported 95 stations nationwide from 3-6pm ET daily."
