Brian Lamb lies as C-Span turns right wing and dishonest
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 12:49 PM by papau
Brian Lamb had Ann Coulter on for 1 hr.

Brian Lamb promised that afterward he would have a man on to counter Coulter for 1 hr.

Lamb then proves himself a liar re "counter Coulter" by having a classic no opinion new hire for a DC paper on as a counter for far right nut case Ann Coulter - with Lamb telling caller that Coulter was a good interview because she sells a lot of books (as if Lamb does not know about Scafie bulk book purchases for right wing flacks).

And Lamb's scheduling of the limited C-span resources (he told me at one time that they had only 3 crews ) - those "limited resources" that cause him to not cover Democratic events - much less liberal events- will have time on the schedule for

ZELL MILLER giving an award in D.C. to the SWIFT BOAT LIARS - the "Courage Under Fire Award" from the Conservative Political Action Conference

Lamb may as well cover a Nazi picnic - and explain that they have opinions too!

Curious researchers can see if they can track the Conservative Political Action Conference to folks like MillionsofAmericans.com which was merged with GOPUSA, and our buddies Bruce and Bobby and their stipend hire of gay whore Jeff Gannon who has access to the Whitehouse before he has a "reporters" hard pass - indeed weeks before the fake news outlet "Talon News" had begun to claim a legal existence- and see if this is really the Gannon group giving out an award. Indeed find a link back to Craig Spence -Gay partyboy prostitute, procurer of young boys, Midnight tours in the White House under George Bush the First, and find a tie to the GOP friends that got Jeff Gannon/James Guckert -Gay hooker, falsified name and credentials, in on Plame outing and presaged Shock & Awe by 4 hours, constantly in the White House UNDER George Bush the Second, to the point of getting a head rubbing from W, and you have a story the discussion of which at any event will have Lamb claiming limited resources such that he can not cover the event's discussion.

It is not as if they had not covered the Conservative Political Action Conference - as when Vice President Cheney reiterated the vow not to raise the payroll tax and said "we cannot tax our way out of this problem."

Maybe the recast tomorrow of a subdued Dean saying "As chairman I will not let them continue to frame the debate" ( ..."The highlight of the night came in the phase of the debate when panelists were invited to ask questions. Perle had just spoken for a while, trashing the Dems on national security as usual. The panel then asked Dean an unrelated question. Before responding to that question, the Good Doctor said to Perle something like "Before I respond I want to say that Richard has attempted to do something that I'm not going to let him get away with, and that is frame the debate. As chairman I don't intend to let them continue to frame the debate." http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/2/18/2535/72934 ) is supposed to make things even - like hell.

1. I Had Written This To Them Before Your Accurate Post...
Dear Brian:

Your choosing this unknown middle of the road democrat to BALANCE the radical reactionary spewing of untruth by Ann Coulter is ridiculous.

Your question to Ann Coulter..."Do you think Dean is unhinged?" was the epitome of irony. Dean is obviously very sane so even posing such a ridiculous question is beyond the pale.

This man, Robinson, has nothing to say and Ray Charles has nothing to say about contemporary politics. He was a great musician. Leave it at that and talk politics.

As a former teacher, I think this man's support of the failed voucher system alone disqualifies him from consideration as a voice of reason in my book. 90% of children will be attending public schools and we need to improve them, not destroy them with religious schools funded by vouchers.

3. Thanks - the Gannon media fake opens a window to C-Span fake non-bias
How many fake award /fake media/dishonest award groups will Lamb give C-Span airtime to?

Were Conservative Monitor "reporters" on C-Span back in 2002? They seem to have the right reporters to make the "big Time air time cut" for C-Span resources.

THE 2002 ELECTION MANDATE (November 12, 2002)
Jeff Gannon / -- The mainstream media is full of talking heads claiming the recent elections, although swept by the Republicans, is no mandate. I disagree. Every election is a mandate. Americans express their will by casting their votes and in many cases, withholding them. This election was a clearly a referendum on George W. Bush. The President took the issues of homeland security, Iraq, social security, prescription drugs and the economy directly to the people when he asked them to elect Congressmen and Senators who would support his initiatives in these matters.Voters responded by defying midterm election history, returning the Senate to a Republican majority and expanding the House majority held since 1994. Three days after the American election, the UN Security Council voted 15-0 in favor of a resolution for disarming Iraq. The following Monday, Saddam Hussein called an emergency meeting of the Iraqi Parliament to decide how to respond. The United Nations and Saddam Hussein recognize this as a mandate.<snip>

Who owns the Conservative Monitor and why did they give this unknown "writer"/whore a forum? - and did C-Span help?

2. Their choice of phone line is "Support President Bush" and the other one
is "Democrat." That should tell you something. After we lost the election, I can no longer stomach their blatant partiality

5. If we were as organized as the right...
We'd have an email list of folks who would flood c-span with complaint letters, well-documented with stats of conservative bias, calling them on their so-called non-partiality.

What do we have to do to build an orgaization like that?

I mean, imagine if Brian Lamb had had Michael Moore on for an hour, then claim he'd balanced the time with some new unknown moderately-conservative columnnist to talk about an entertainer! The phone lines and email lines would be burning up with the flames.

We need to fight their fire with fire.

10. I guess I'm cynical
while I applaud your suggestion, I don't think Lamb and cspan are unaware of their own bias.

7. Coulter was predictably terrible
she was silly, and Lamb looked silly interviewing her. She made lame unfunny jokes about wetting herself and other vulgarities.

8. Coulter has a strategy:
Say as many outrageous things as possible on the air, especially if they are untrue, and you can sell more books. "She" has no shame.
