NPR's Scott Simon says there's "no outrage" over WMD
my email to Simon:

Dear Scott,

You asked Daniel Schorr this morning why there's no outrage over the lack of WMD in Iraq.

In case you didn't know, just because there's no outrage on NPR doesn't mean there's no outrage. I'm outraged, and millions of others are outraged.

You know who captured the outrage pretty well? Michael Moore, in "Fahrenheit 9/11," which you trashed. Fortunately, millions of people ignored you and all the other pundits who trashed it, and saw it for themselves. That movie had more truth in it than a year's worth of your program.

1. Nice feedback
I'm sure there is little outrage in red states where the locals are programmed to accept deceit from george bush as a good thing. He only lies to us to protect us. I did notice alot of outrage after the election when many were saying ignorant people decided the election. In other words, outrage about the airing of the truth.

3. Further proof of the media takeover
Its amazing how far we have progressed to get to this point. We have total fiction in the news and nobody seems to have ANY protest.

Of course, we all know this from the news...

Goebel would be so proud.

4. Red States are outraged too
As a red stater I feel betrayed by the Iraq build up propaganda for weapons of mass destruction. I am mad as hell! However, I am not only upset with Bush and the GOP, I am also mad at the mainstream media that played scenes of the dead Kurds and other victims of Saddam's crimes, over and over. They had a part in this mass hysteria we all felt before the invasion. They should also share part of the blame.

I know its a different subject but look at how the media had a part in Clinton's Monica problem. One day we come home from work and find all the networks saying "How long can Clinton hang on after his lies?" They made the story 10 times more imporant than it really was. Until they told us that he was just days from resigning we did not think much of it. They fed the story and added enough fuel to make it an inferno.

These new revelations of shoddy journalism are just the tip of the iceberg. The media fed off of Bush's agenda and manufactured news and innuendo that led everyone (almost everyone) to think invasion was our only hope.

I didn't so much vote for Bush as against Kerry. Give us Red Staters a decent democrat to vote for an we will vote for them. Clark, Gephardt, DEAN!--not Kerry.

(as you can see I am new to DU, I may be too wordy, if so, I apologize.)
