US strikes raze Falluja hospital according to this article
from yesterday.
A hospital has been razed to the ground in one of the heaviest US air raids in the Iraqi city of Falluja.
Witnesses said only the facade remained of the small Nazzal Emergency Hospital in the centre of the city. There are no reports on casualties.
The air strikes reduced the Nazzal hospital, run by a Saudi Arabian Islamic charity, to rubble.
Hospital officials quoted by Reuters news agency say all the contents were ruined.

However, the NY Times seems to be avoiding saying that.
They only mention the hospital at the tail end of this long article, and here's what they say:
Rockets struck a new hospital in Falluja that was ready to open its doors, destroying it on Saturday. Jassim Muhammad, a resident who witnessed the attack, said he did not believe that anyone was inside at the time. Mr. Muhammad said American aircraft passed twice over the area during the attack.
A spokesman for the First Marine Expeditionary Force said in an e-mail message that American aircraft were striking targets in Falluja on Saturday evening. "The targets pertain to defensive measures put in place by the insurgency as well as known weapons cache sites in Falluja," the spokesman said. "A hospital was not on the target list."

1. It would seem that they both agree

that the hospital was destroyed, the only difference is that the NYT is quoting a USMC spokesman that it wasn't directly targeted.

5. You are missing the point

You don't reduce a hospital to rubble by accident. They did target the hospital obviously, but the USMC is denying it, so the Times is avoiding blaming it on them. They say 'rockets' hit the hospital, not planes.

The BBC makes the incident a headline. The NYT buries it.

This identifies the growing gap in how the rest of the world views US actions and how those same actions are regarded here. The divide is growing. This particular discrepancy makes that case in point.

Read it carefully. Usually rockets implies the insurgents are the ones attacking. Planes don't shoot rockets, they drop bombs.
