Just finished watching Roger Mudd interview the newsman who was once "the most trusted man in America." Apparently when he retired he left thinking CBS would continue to use him for specials and the conventions. But they wanted a younger look and just let him go. After all these years I still miss Uncle Walter!
It was a good program. I was only 1 when Cronkite left the anchorman's desk at CBS so I know very little about him, but I wish today's media could be as unbiased and as factual as it once was.
