Kerry caused Medicare premium rise via 5 comprehensive budget bill votes-?
Will the media again let Bush get away with partial truth lies?

New Ad by the Bush Tean says Medicare premium rise caused by Kerry - and our media responds with broadcast comments saying --- yep - saying nothing bad about Bush - you can lie with our media as long as they get their check.

The spokesman for the Department of Health and Human Services, William A. Pierce, dismissed the Democratic proposals to cap Medicare premiums as "a purely political attempt" to exploit the elderly - at the same time that the Ad says that Kerry being part of the 85 to 15 vote in 97 when the GOP controlled the Senate means he caused the 1997 formula that now calls for a premium rise due to the cost rise.

They increase the premium - blame Kerry, and say reducing the premium woukd be political - and our media says nothing.

I wonder if our media will bother to broadcast, if they note the ad, any comment that includes any negative to Bush words about using 5 comprehensive budget votes from 85 to 97 to imply a policy position on Medicare formulas. Did Bush or the GOP speak out against these bills or these formulas for that matter at some point - or did I miss something. Does GOP control of the Senate in 97 really assign blame to Democrats - indeed specific Democrats - for bills that get passed?

Will the GOP note that the increase in premiums has nothing to do with the new drug coverage?

The Bush campaign advertisement, titled "Medicare Hypocrisy," says, "It was Mr. Kerry who voted five times to raise Medicare premiums."

Can we add, via comment in a media broadcast that runs before the election, "GOP Medicare Hypocrisy?", - or are we left with the usual "US Media Hypocrisy".
