Jon Stewart: Independent, Liberal and Funny
http://www.freesqueeze.com/JonStewart.htm

Jon Stewart has quietly become a rising star since taking over The Daily Show. After he became anchor there in 1999, both Comedy Central and John Stewart have seen their stock rise.

For liberal independents like myself, Stewart is a badly needed breath of fresh air. Here’s a truly funny person who is willing to poke fun at anyone who deserves it. Stewart decides who needs ridiculing by the level of the target’s own pomposity and not some political litmus test that so many talking heads seem wedded to these days.

When I was in college, the dorms shut down for Fernwood Tonight. These days it’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart that has the ears of generation Y. You may not like what he says but there can be no denying that millions are listening to him.

If you have time, take a look at the video link at the bottom of this page. Terrific!

1. ugh. generation Y?
:puke: :puke: :puke:
yet another media pundit who doesn't know why generation X was labelled that. It's because they were the 10th generation of naturally born citizens of the U.S. So, my generation is Generation XI.

2. Labels Always Fall Short

But the fact remains that generations do not claim their own label, they have whatever half-baked label the older folks create for them forced on them.

You are right about me, though. Way too dim to be a 'pundit'.

7. It's a way to send the thread back to the top of the page for more...
people to see it.

On most forums they use "bump". In honor of the donkey mascot, DU'ers use the word "kick" instead.

8. Oh, I See
I guess it is a way for folks to avoid making some inane comment to accomplish the same thing (like this.)
