Just curious how many of you are AD, and why you think you should control what the AD personell listen to overseas? Not trying to be a piss ant for my first post just curious.

If Armed Forces Radio wants to have Rush on, fine, but balance him with a left-leaning commentator so that the personnel aren't exposed exclusively to right-wing views.

Of course, given that the right-wingers think war is the cure for whatever ails you, it's probably in their interest to have the troops pre-propagandized and ready to go after whoever the designated enemy is.

If we are going to have a left-leaning commentator - let's say Al Franken, or Bill Press - he should be balanced by a right-leaning commentator like Ben Stein or George Will.

Rush, however, in addition to being the world's most prolific producer of lieas and slander, is also an EXTREME far-right-winger on EVERY issue. He is not "right-leaning". To balance him, you would need to have at the least Mike Malloy, if not Jello Biafra or Zacbh De La Rocha, and we know THAT's not about to happen.


Hannity and Colmes is NOT a "balanced" pair.

Are you saying that we should be forced to pay for extrem right-wing radio for our troops, particularly a program like Limbaugh, whose hallmark is lies, slander and distortion?

I think we deserve a say in how our ta money is spent personally.

Also, I put in my time in the Navy, but that's not what gives me the right to free expression. It's my birthright as a citizen under the constitution.
