Seems "contrasts with John Kerry" are perfectly acceptable this week, and Purple Heart bandages and other slurs are ok with our media as long as those accusations are limited as to inappropriate rancor or pettiness - indeed "tasteful" references to 9/11 are appropriate - as the GOP is just putting a more human face on our wartime president unfairly portrayed by Kerry as stubborn, reckless and insensitive, when, as Cheney will say tonight, Bush has "demonstrated leadership and decisiveness" compared to the "confusion of conviction in both domestic and foreign policy" offered by Senator Kerry. The media is forbidden to note the lack of talk about health care/uninsured, unemployment, and poverty figures, since they must say and write "compassionate conservative" with a straight face all this week and up to the ellect.
So the DNC is putting out a 30 second television spot that will run not just in the Big Apple, but also in the battleground states and national cable, per an email from DNC convention spokesman Matt Bennett e-mails - and it will feature three phrases you've heard a lot about from Democrats -- "catastrophic success," "miscalculations," and the "unwinnable war on terror."
Seems the party of the non-rich must pay to get their message out as the "free press" is on its knees to the GOP - again.
