Wolfe Blitzer did a good job correcting Ken Mehlman tonight

For those of you that like to attack Blitzer:

He had Bush operative Ken Mehlman on tonight. Wolfe was talking about Michael Moore's letter to Bush that was released today, and mentioned that Moore is going to be a special correspondant for CNN at the Repuke Convention. The first words out of Mehlman's mouth were to state "as fact" that Moore sat with Theresa Heinz-Kerry at the Dem convention. Wolfe interrupted him IMMEDIATELY and stopped him in his tracks asking if Moore really sat with Heinz-Kerry. Mehlman QUICKLY backtracked saying, "I don't know if he sat WITH her, but he was in the box...". Instantly, Wolfe got the answer through his earpiece and told us the truth, which was that Michael Moore sat with President and Mrs. Carter at the convention.

(sorry to interrupt you with the facts Ken, please continue...)

Ken then went on to say some crap about Kerry getting the smallest post convention bounce in history....
He was then interrupted by Wolfe again, who quickly pointed out that incumbent Presidents who have won re-election have have been ahead by 10 points by this time...

Gosh, Ken. You sure f'd up tonight. Perhaps a visit to the FOX studio is in order? Certainly, there will be NO fact checking there...

5. It's nice that Michael Moore will cover the Convention for CNN.

Maybe all our emails about too much of Republicans at the Democratic Convention paid off.

USA Today would have a correspondent/thorn-in-the-side cover each convention.
