3. This is fantastic...
I hope he can maintain this momentum. Dean detractors and media pundits are just waiting for him to say something that gets everybody mad at him so he drops in the polls. Wait, I guess he's already done that. Lol!

4. Only other ones to show upward momentum are
Edwards, Gep, and CMB--each at one point. Look at Dean--8 points, more than the MOE!

5. The next poll
will be the interesting one. Post-Gore endorsement. I think it's going to be huge.

...Got a nice comment from a fellow shopper at the grocery store today, when he saw my "Dean for President" sweatshirt...

7. Not just the Gore endorsement
He has been showing far more momentum than any other candidate and has had an amazaing week even without the Gore endorsement.

8. Agreed
For all the sniping here at DU, I think the Gore endorsement is a huge positive for Dean, at least in the short term. People are talking about him.

And yes, he's had an amazing week. Florida convention, the beautiful speech in SC, and great showing in polls all over.

6. Wow... My personal lil poll is strangely odd similiar on Dr Dean.........
commanding lead...
Dec 8th 1st Nov 23th
Dean 27.4 27.9 26.6
Lieberman 12.8 12.8 12.2
Gephardt 10.1 9.7 9.8
Clark 9.4 8.6 8.8
Kerry 9.4 8.7 8.2
Edwards 4.9 4.6 4.8
Sharpton 3.3 3.0 2.9
Bruan 1.9 1.8 1.8
Kucinich 1.5 1.5 1.5
Undecided 21.3 21.4 23.4
MOE +-3.8

The reasoning for Dr. Dean's -.5% slip is the new SC poll that hurt him and kept Lieberman and Kucinich the same. As well Dr. Dean's slip help the rest of the field.

The reason that Lieberman is in second is that he has most states he is polling in second. As well as Gephardt is fighting for 2nd and 3rd in most states.

This week is the small drop of the Undecided catagory.

My method was a weighted ave of value of all states that have released a poll as percentage plus position over the field of canidates vs. the value at the national convention.
