Clark in Portland (Maine)
I just got back from it, the hall was full (State of Maine room, City Hall), the State coordinators from the two no-caps campaigns (Dean and Kerry) were there, there was local print and broadcast media people, and it went off well. The standard stump was delivered. Afterwards there was a gaggle on the steps (cold, with some wind), which was about the size of a double rugby scrum (one of media, one of vols doing visibility).

At present, the Dean, Kerry, and now Kucinich campaigns have paid staff in Maine. We're a caucus state, like Iowa, caucusing on Sunday, Feb 8th.

2. Maine Rules
Went to Camden last summer. Beautiful state.

How was Clark received compared with other presidential hopefuls?

3. Thanks General!
For showing that my little pine-covered state matters. We whack the Bushes every time they run here.

Unlike Clark, Shrub only shows up to drink the weekend away in the tax-free compound in Kenne'bucks'port, or to fall off a Sedgway.

4. Welcome to DU!
:hi:

There are more and more Mainers showing up here. Cool!

Here's the link to the article int his morning's paper about the visit.

Clark isn't my first choice but he's right up there in second place.

BTW, we still need volunteers to "convene" the caucus in many towns. Training will be provided. If anyone is interested in more information please PM me and I'll get you in touch with your county coordinator.
