Castor in the lead in Florida
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/state/orl-asecpoll26112603nov26,1,322016.story?coll=orl-news-headlines

In Florida's wide-open U.S. Senate race, Betty Castor has emerged as the early front-runner for the Democratic nomination and could prove a formidable foe for Republicans in the general election, a new poll shows.

In a possible matchup between front-runners, the poll shows that Castor leads Harris 42 percent to 37 percent, with Democrats coming out in force against the Republican congresswoman from Sarasota.

"Katherine Harris is a polarizing figure," said pollster Brad Coker, managing director of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. "The Republican activists will get their people out to vote for her. But she's loathed by Democrats.

2. She'll have my support.................
I was considering Hastings, but after his betrayel of supporting Lieberman down here, Betty secured that so important DumpGump support for sure.

3. Hastings isn't running
He dropped out a couple weeks back, probably did some polling and saw he had no chance in the general election.

5. Re: Castor in the lead in Florida
We just held a small farewell party for a friend who is off to Tampa to work for Betty -- fundraising and campaign finance compliance. We'll miss her here in Maine, but Betty needs good Ds, even us Mainiacs. She's facing two wealthy empty power suits in the primary who can buy name recognition -- Betty got hers the hard way, by working for it -- County Commission, State Senate, State Cabinet President of USF -- and of course, the Rs will run Katherine Harris.

This is a Senate race we all need to get behind. We've got a good candidate with a competitive campaign, and Florida is payback, no matter what happens at the top of the ticket. All you snowbirds contact the campaign office in Tampa and get a bumpa sticka to sport whilst wintering.
