Would you support a Gore/Clark ticket?
This team would be unbeatable. Both are wanted by the party and with both groups, why not come together and form an alliance that is for sure to win. Let me know if you would go for that ticket.

1. Sorry, Gore isn't running, isn't going...
to run, there won't be a deadlock, so no draft of Gore.
Need to move on.

5. If that is all you are going to say
dont say anything. If all you are going to say Gore is not going to run, dont bother. I dont want to hear that, and that is not what I asked.

4. until someone can show me what clark stands for
absolutely not...i would vote for Gore but it would have nothing to do with Clark. I have been to the links provided regarding clark's stand on certain issues and while they look in line with how i feel about those issues, what about the rest of the issues? If anyone here has access to Clark or someone close to Clark how about getting him to issue some kind of preliminary platform as a prelude to an exploratory committee on running.

I won't support someone just because he seems to be liberal and has a great military record, I want someone who will stand up for what I and other progressives/liberals stand for.

10. I've looked and all I can find are third-party positions with
quotes from Clark that seem to support the positions. I can't find anything directly from Clark with specifics...you know, like a healthcare plan or a foreign trade plan.

I agree there's info out there, it just all seems to be pretty general (no pun intended). I don't see specifics.

13. DU's nifty new feature...
You know. The one that's being ran into the ground. This would actually be a legitimate use of that new poll feature. :D

8. Deacon Blues
I would support a Gore/Clark ticket.
I would even support a Leiberman/Clark ticket or a Kucinich/Clark ticket.
But I don't want to have to support any of those tickets.

9. I take it you mean if either were actually a candidate.....
I know a lot of people (me included) that have some issues with a candidate not running and seeking to be drafted. I'm not saying Gore is doing this, but I think that if he wants to be President, he should RUN for President.

Clark isn't a bad guy, but I haven't seen enough of him to make a decision. Just being a General doesn't make you a stellar V.P.

12. Would You Support a Timberlake/Spears Ticket?
Seriously, could they screw up the country any more than Bush? Then again, neither of them are running for president either.

PS - Do you think it would have been a stronger race if it was Gore/Kerry in 2000?

14. A Gore/Clark ticket? Neither is running
Neither is running, and I sure don't want a repeat of the 2000 campaign, this time against an incumbent bush with more than twice the money.

15. I would absolutely support such a ticket
and be willing to work my ass off for it. For all those critical of Clark for not joining the fray just yet I think it is a brilliant move. He is getting mainstream media coverage and is being exposed as a likely candidate without having to spend oodles of dollars. Without declaring himself a Dem candidate it gives the Dems an opportunity to showcase a Democratic candidate with a fairly liberal agenda without the RW coming out swinging. I know that I will probably be blasted for this but if we want to get rid of * we have to attract moderates of both parties, an extreme liberal agenda is a sure way to shoot ourselves in the foot, do what the assholes did and run on a moderate platform and then go in and undo the crap that * has done, but first we have to get there.
