My goodness - Dean's making infomercials!
I've been advocating for this for a while - they worked quite well for Perot (imagine had he stayed in for the entire race in 1992). They'll be late-night, but I'm curious to find-out if they'll have any effect.. If they do, I'll bet we see a few prime time infomercials in September & October 2004 (to blunt Bush's convention bounce & win-over undecideds, respectively).

-------------

"The infomercial is an edited version of Dean's town-hall meeting held earlier this year in Sioux City, Iowa. The campaign is spending $70,000 to air it in all media markets in the state."

"Unlike 30- and 60-second commercials, the infomercials give Dean a chance to speak at length on a range of issues. Campaign aides argue that activists likely to participate in the Jan. 19 caucuses would welcome an infomercial in which a candidate has the time to provide specifics on policy.

1. I posted about this earlier in GD
I think it's a fantastic idea, and money very well spent.

11. In the General Election if 100 Million Democrats
sent in just $10.00 to get rid of bushmurderinc. ...it would be a mighty tasty war chest~

15. shop to drop bush
For every $100 you spend on-line, we get about a $5 commission. It's money you'd spend anyway. So check out the site.
svp.

14. ROFLMAO
The thing is, that's exactly what we'll have to do during the general. Partly to make a point, partly to get the money.

12. Well, then...
we're just going to have to donate some more money, then, aren't we?

Seriously, I think it's cool that he can raise money so quickly and effectively, and put it to good use like this.

16. Jerry Springer had talked about doing this
when he was thinking of running for the Senate. I was excited about it then- seems like an idea whose time has come.

17. I wonder
if this is what the October surprise was supposed to be. Trippi told Meetup hosts during the monthly conference call to tell those attending the Meetup to absolutely read the email being sent Thursday by the campaign. He said it would be the most important email they've sent, and would change their campaign.

18. I'm going to some sorta speech Dean's giving Wed morning in NYC
not sure what exactly it is, or what it's about.

I got an e-mail invitation to "…stand with Governor Howard Dean as we celebrate how far we've come and where we're going from here!"

as far as I know, the invitation was only sent to people who've volunteered for the campaign in the past.

anyway, I can hardly wait to find out what all this is about!

19. question for the Pruner
How can you support a candidate that will treat you like a criminal if he's elected?

Lloyd Hart interviews Keith Stroup from NORMAL about Marijuana in Politics and shows the strength of support Kucinich will get from the US's 100 million Marijuana smokers.

Dean on Drugs C (used to be an F, I could find nothing different in his stance from when he was rated F, but now they give him a C)
