CA: California Green News from PSR
Ralph Nader so far has declined to be in the 2004 California Green ballot as a Predidential candidate. Green Matt Gonzalez could win a spot in San Francisco mayor runoff race as he now appears to be in second place for the election on Tuesday.

(These stories are based on my conversations with GP activists and from Green listservs, thus there are no links to news articles)

Could a Green become mayor of San Francisco? :wow:

It is a positive sign that it doesn't look like Nader will be on the California ballot, though.

1. That would be awesome.
I think Northern California should just split from the South.

3. Of San Francisco? Yes I think so
Enough people are tired of the same ole, same ole here and the Green's message is very well received. We are mostly Left-leaning here.

4. It depends
But I wouldn't interpret a "Green victory" in San Francisco--one of the most liberal cities in the country--as indication that the Greens have support among average Americans.
