(NH) Greens endorse Kucinich
By DAVID TIRRELL-WYSOCKI, The Associated Press

CONCORD – Dennis Kucinich is running near the bottom of the Democratic primary polls in New Hampshire, but he’s tops for the state’s Green Party.

“Dennis is one of us,” party spokesman Guy Chichester declared Monday, as the party endorsed the Ohio congressman.

The party is based on peace, social justice and environmental concerns. Of the current candidates, Chichester said Kucinich is the most closely aligned with those principles. He said the endorsement to help Kucinich win the Democratic nomination will not affect the Green Party’s own nominating convention in June.

“Your endorsement sends a signal to everyone in New Hampshire and throughout New England who is really concerned about those environmental issues that relate to protection of the environment, protection of the economy and protection of the natural world, that they have a candidate,” Kucinich said.

7. endorsement bogus
There is no GPUS affiliate in New Hampshire. The "endorsement" was from a rump group of six individuals. Just to set the record straight.

2. In NM, the former Green candidate for Governor
is working for the Kucinich campaign!!

When Governor Richardson was here at a forum, there were so many Greens there that the governor had to say, "I know a lot of you didn't vote for me, but..." Greens ARE waking up that there is a good candidate out there, and so are feminists, and so is labor...

3. Winona LaDuke also endorses him
She spoke at the Kucinich rally here in MN on Oct 14. Yes, she was awesome!

Here's a link to the text of her endorsement:

For those who don't know who Winona LaDuke is: she's the VP candidate on the Green Party ticket in 1996 & 2000. She's an outspoken activist for the environment, Native American rights, and feminist issues.

5. Little concerned
First, let me say that I'm an Ohioan and have a soft spot for DK, even if he isn't my first choice. (Don't want anyone to think I'm bashing him)

I'm a little concerned still that the Green Party wants to hold the Dems. hostage by saying DK gets the nod or will run Nader. They have every right to do this, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with DK speaking at Natural Law events and being endorsed by the Greens.

6. I see it as being a good thing...Dennis is
bringing folks back into the Dem party...the Dems just have to be smart enough to know it & choose Dennis...
:)

Its a matter of choosing a candidate who inspires you...if the dems won't-don't-can't provide one...then  what is a person supposed to do??

Peace
DR
