Results of Statewide Polls in Kentucky (Gov, atty gen, sec of state...)
here are the results of statewide polls for various offices in Kentucky.

Governor:
Fletcher (R): 49%
Chandler (D): 43%

Sec of State
Maple (D): 48%
Grayson (R): 41%

Atty. General
Stumble (D): 54%
Wood (R): 38%

State Auditor:
Greenwell (R): 45%
Luallen (D): 44%

State Treasurer:
Miller (D): 54%
Koenig (R): 35%

The Democrats aren't doing too badly in these statewide offices according to this poll. They are well ahead in races for Attorney General and State Treasurer. Leading in the race for Secretary of State. And dead-even in race for State Auditor. However, the big one is Governor and the GOP candidate is currently leading but not by an insurmountable lead--only six-points. There is still hopes that we can keep the statehouse in Kentucky.

Now in the race for Senate next year could any of these statewide candidates be formidible as the democratic nominee against Bunning?

1. The numbers aren't great but...
I really think Chandler can take Fletcher.

2. Ole Mich Mcconnell is pouring a lot of
GOP money into the fletcher race. ernie plays dirty. I remember the crap he pulled on Scorsone a couple years ago. He started a whisper campaign in the rural areas, charging that Scorsone was gay. what a prick.

3. Wow, Chandler ain't doin' bad.
McConnell is probably thinking, "Oh shoot, I have to spend MORE money distorting Chandler's record and helping Ernie win."

4. This is a Survey USA poll and I've heard that they are junk
That being said I do think Democrats are fairing well in all but two of the statewide races. But Chanlder needs to get his act together fast and he needs to develop a decent field plan if he hopes to beat Fletcher.
