Good news from Robert Novak, of all people
In his article in today's (9/29) Chicago Sun-Times Novak calls both of Bush's speeches on Iraq over the last 15 days "duds". Even better, there are now some conservative repugnicants reluctant to give Smirky more money. Novak goes on to write that " another domestic issue is continuing loss of industrial jobs, and that does not ease Republican anxiety. It causes hard analysis of electoral maps that poses difficult questions. Is it realistic to think about Bush winning big industrial belt states won by Al Gore in 2000: Michigan, Illinois and Pennsylvania? Would Missouri slip to the Democrats if Richard Gephardt is on the ticket? No wonder the arrogance quotient at the White House is diminishing. Reporters regularly on that beat say they have been getting their telephone calls returned the last two weeks".

Robert Novak or not, it works for me.

1. Novak covering his own ass
hoping that by pandering to the dems someone will stick up for him for outing a CIA officer. He's telling us nothing new here, at least nothing we couldn't have already figured out by standing next to the watercooler at work and listening to the wingnuts

3. Outing of CIa officer
Thanks for responding. I read that someone is fingering Karl "the fixer" Rove as the informant. If that's true wouldn't it make everyone's day? As far as pandering, I don't know. I was just happy to read about the administration's weaknesses by someone so firmly in their corner. I'm no fan of Novak. But any bad news for this administration is good news to me (and all DUers, I'm sure!). Have a great day!

2. Novak says Gop'ers stop Money - but W/H says $80 m since June
Seems that the harvest from special interest tax cuts and no-bid Iraq contracts is so large that a few millionaire donations are not missed.
