Tenenbaum Seriously Considering US Senate Run in '04
This may just be the best piece of news for the dangerous Southern 4-pack of Senate seats(FL,GA,NC,SC) that Democrats must defend in '04. Her entry in the race would in my opinion, move the race from a "toss-up" to a leans Democratic situation. Tenenbaum is tremendously popular and is very articulate(she puts Liddy Dole to shame), and would be an even better bet than Hollings would in the race.

Here's the news link from the Charleston Post & Courier:

Tenenbaum is actually polling higher than Hollings...she's our best candidate (except maybe Hollings).

4. maybe
She did poll at about the same level as Hollings so she is probably the best candidate if Hollings doesn't run. However, DeMint isn't well known across the state apparently, so after the campaign, I think that conservative South Carolina would choose DeMint over Tenenbaum. However, DeMint was behind the more well know Charlie Condon in the polls back in April and I understand that Condon wouldn't be as good of a candidate as DeMint. This race could be interesting but I think that Hollings is definitely our best candidate.

5. Tenenbaum v. DeMint
Tenenbaum still has many advantages compared to DeMint
1. Statewide recognition
2. No congressional voting record
3. DeMint is from the most conservative part of SC(upstate), and will not be able to steal downstate votes which trend more Democratic.
4. She's much more articulate; trust me-DeMint's my Rep.

6. I don't know much about South Carolina

7. Condon just got a spanking
in papers down here. He was one of the state Attorney Generals who was doing typical GOP shakedown fundraising.

11. Ok
Her last name seems Jewish. Her first name seems Spanish.

I wonder what her background is.

13. Well, she's been elected statewide twice
despite having a Jewish sounding last name.

Though I'd be afraid of who that moron would appoint in her place too.
