Is This The Bill Clinton Show? - Clark
After watching from the sidelines for months, former Commerce Secretary Mickey Kantor was lured into action by presidential candidate Wesley Clark — with a nudge from former President Clinton.

"The president knows General Clark better than I know General Clark, and I just asked what he thought," Kantor recalled. "He said, 'I have a tremendous regard for him.'"

And with that, Kantor joined Clark's campaign as a senior adviser.

By action and association, Mr. Clinton has had a major impact on Clark's first bid for elective office, causing some Democrats to wonder whether the former president's pledge of impartiality may be giving way to his loyalty toward a fellow Arkansan.

Yesterday, Thur there was a headline MSGOP story running on how 2 guys, only 2!, were the ones responsible to making Clark run. They did it all from their website. This seems to be completely contradicting this CBS story.

(I've searched MSGOP and can't find the story now. Help.)

1. I'm Not Too Bothered
If Bill Clinton has one or more favorites, that's OK with me. He's a Democrat and has the right to participate in the nominating process, just like any other Democrat.

But I think the press is way too fixated on Clinton. (What else is new?) Clinton has been very supportive of all the Democratic candidates. He's had nice things to say about all of them. (Dean most recently at the Harkin steakfest. Clinton praised Dean's healthcare proposal.) And Clinton is doing an excellent job framing the debate for the upcoming general election.

Of course Bill Clinton is going to like a fellow Arkansan, and one who happened to work for him. I'd be shocked if he didn't.

2. The MSGOP story I'm referring to could have been a WP or Newsweek link
on MSGOP?

3. ,I don't have a problem with Clinton backing Clark.
Clinton was a good President. Clark would also be a good President. However, Kucinich would be a better President.
