1. I have a nagging feeling Hillary is going to jump into this
and either be Clark's running mate, or he will be her running mate.

2. I respectfully disagree....
I definitely think the Clintons and other major
players are going to support Clark, but I don't
think Hillary will be on the ticket.

That rumor was started on Fox and has so far been
unsubstantiated.

3. Do you thnk...
that they will step up and support him before the primary season is over? I heard yesterday that Clinton would wait until the nominee was decided to really get into things.

4. Well....
I don't know how formal the Clintons will be
but if Bill states that there are two stars of
the Democratic Party, one being Hillary and the
other being Clark, that is pretty supportive.

I think the support will be subtle from the Clintons.

Charlie Rangel, however, has really been vocal about
Clark. I think that is great. I like Charlie Rangel.

I hope Levin supports him, I respect Levin as well.

13. Charlie Rangel?
Really? That's interesting, where'd you get that info because I'd like to see what he had to say.

6. I don't think the Clintons will come right out and support...
any candidate before the nomination. There are rumors that Hillary will be Clark's NY campaign chair. I doubt that she would do that during the primary process.

9. My nagging feeling is similar but slightly different.
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 09:59 AM by Fabio
First off, I am a Kerry supporter, but have nothing but good feelings for Clark (and, for that matter, John Edwards). Anyhow, what's going on is a little disturbing to me.

It's common knowledge that Hillary wants to run in 08, and she has put herself in a box in terms of changing her mind in 04. I know that she and her husband are supporting the Clark campaign at some level, although it is my understanding that she will not Chair his campaign in New York as sited in some articles and on this board. Anyhow, I have geniunely mixed feelings about the former first couple and their legacy -- obviously rock stars in a political sense, policy wonks who presided over a great expansionary period in our country, etc, but NOT, in my mind, great people at the core. I should add that I live in NYC and Hillary has been a solid Senator for this state.

However, she is a fundamentally selfish person, so I believe there must be some angle here for her to be in a "win-win" -- ie she rides to the number 2 spot (less desirable) or she deep sixes the 04 ticket (through increased fragmentation of the field) and positions herself perfectly for 08.

It's bothersome to feel this way about people in your party, but it's my two cents.

Can we keep the Faux diversion out of Clark threads already?

11. Just donated this morning!
and I just got engaged people and the ring wasn't cheap (*But it was definitely worth it)! If you support Clark, chip in a little. It'll get the ball rolling and will convince others to do the same. I just want him on the ticket one way or the other.

I'm glad Congressman Rangel is on Clark's side. He fought in Korea and I respect him greatly for that. As for Sen. Clinton, perhaps it's for the best right now that she doesn't endorse Clark. The Clintons excite the conservative base just as much as liberal one. We don't want Clark to be pegged as "Clinton's boy." And while I share some serious reservations about some of their past deeds, I don't think the Clintons are scheming for a Dem loss in 2004.

Where is the "On The Issues" section? You'd think he'd want to announce his agenda.

COMING SOON
This feature is under construction

That's what I got when I clicked "On the Issues" on the site map. I'm not implying that Clark's positions are under construction...or am I?
