I emailed Clark (like Michael Moore suggested)
and asked (ok, begged) him to run.

The only possible candidates that don't trigger
my gag reflex are Clark & Kuchinich.
And Kuchinich seems like easy meat for the Repug
attack dogs. Whereas Clark doesn't.

I also think it's very significant that some of
the few fabulously wealthy non-fascists are supportive
of Clark (e.g., Speilberg).

81. What's a buddy list?

This is my first campaign season as a member of DU. Not sure what that is. I like all the candidates except Lieberman, and I'd vote for him if he was the nominee. I'd just do it without any real hope for the future. But I'd really like to see Clark be the one, so you can add me to the list if you like, unless coming down on the side of one means we have to fight with other members and trash other candidates. I don't want to do that, but I do think that Clark has the potential to beat Bush and do much more for the Democratic party than that. If he's what he seems, he has the potential to energize it, garner swing votes and generally (no pun intended) bring it back to life as the force for the average American that it should always have been.

I didn't really think it was. I think I just wanted to say that even though I'm pulling for one, I don't want to dump on others, which can get dicey, because if you're for one of them, you must therefore find him better than the others in some way and comparisons are inevitable and all of a sudden..well, you know. Truth is, though, although I'd decided on Dean before, for the last couple of weeks I've been beside myself waiting on the word from Clark and will support him for sure.

As much as I respect the other candidates, I just don't see them getting the job done against Pres. Bush. I'll support Clark if he runs because I'm interested in seeing if he can catch fire. For the record though, this will be a tough uphill battle. But unlike any other potential political leader, I know where he stands on the issue of humanitarian intervention, war criminals, and the prevention of genocide.
