Democratic candidate Dean asks Wesley Clark to be running mate
I was just thinking about this possibility this morning and wow did this knock me out---it is going to be a great campaign. Dean-Clark 2004, 2008

http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/story.jsp?story=442481
Howard Dean, presidential front-runner in the Democratic Party, has asked retired General Wesley Clark to join his campaign, should the former Nato commander decide not to join the race himself.

The move will strengthen speculation that if Mr Dean wins the nomination, he will select General Clark as his running mate to challenge George Bush in 2004.

1. I heard Clark questioned about this today, and, he said
that he was considering running for President and that Vice Presidential politics did not come up; and, additionally, that he had talked to several of the candidates about various things, including the possibility of entering the primary. Please don't look for a Dean/Clark ticket. Tis a bit premature.

2. Dean himself denied this
He said asking someone to be VP at this point is premature. See
