I finally have my own Dean blog! Check it out
Edited on Sat Sep-06-03 05:15 PM by UnapologeticLiberal
I just launched my own Dean blog, entitled "Mousepads, Shoeleather, and Hope - The Great Grassroots Campaign." Right now it has pictures from Falls Church, links to my stores, and the lyrics to the campaign song I wrote. It will also soon have a link to the video montage I made of the Sleepless Summer Tour, which I will show to all of you as soon as I successfully make a version that is less than 50 MB and can at least be downloaded by those with broadband access. I will try to make one for dial-up too but it is pretty difficult to make anything remotely watchable that is small enough. Anyways, the site url is: http://deangrassroots.blogspot.com. Check back, because I am going to keep adding stuff and I should have the video up pretty soon as well.

1. Hi Laura! I admire your awesome enthusiasm!
Your site is terrific! Did you design the Dean Gear!?

Down the line I'll want a "hooded Dean Sweatshirt". Is there anything on the back?

Love your Work! :-)

4. Yes, on the back is an excerpt from the declaration speech
And yes, I designed the stuff myself.

Which store were you looking at? I can tell you what is on the back of the sweatshirt.

2. Good pics
I like the American flag background. I got so excited when I heard Dean say that the American flag does not belong to George W. Bush--it belongs to all of us!

3. Nice start!
Did you know you can add the ability to add coments fairly easily? And free?

I started one myself to help organize people in Nevada I am just begining to get comments but it is quite fun all the same to get feedback. I was thrilled the first time someone posted :bounce:

anyway if you want to add comments there are quite a few places out there that have cut and paste scripts you can use to add the functionality to blogspot blogs.

I used Halo scans because it has the ability to edit where some others dont. You can find them here http://www.haloscan.com/

Keep up the good work :yourock:

5. Thanks for the info
I will have to check it out. But right now I just fixed a major problem with the blog and I am afraid if I touch the script again I will mess something up.

6. I hear ya there!
I did the same the first time i started screwing with mine and had to go back and start over. But I got smart and learned to copy the script each time before i started screwing arround and that way if i mess it up i just paste the last working save back in. I use Blogger also it was really easy. By all means though go at a pace that makes you comfortable :)

10. I think I figured it out
Actually, I think the problem was with my browser and not the site

9. Updates
I updated it this morning with a report from College Park, and I should have my pictures up soon.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to promote the site and get more traffic?
