Gram pic
<>
One of our boys out there going to one of his rally. While he doesn't have the Clinton-like crowds I'm thinking he interacts well with people, he's just out on the street, hanging.

3. Drudge is trying to make some big deal out of this
Says Graham got out of that jag behind him. I guess he doesn't understand that jag is owned by Ford.

4. plates
Thought of that. I don't think it is his, isn't Florida plates.
What, doesn't he like Fords? Or does it remind him of the president who wasn't elected (not Bush, the other one) and fell down a lot (pre-Segway incident)?

6. LOL Good.
If they are attacking him, they are noticing him.

SUSDY, Virginia plates, yeah that's really a hard blow to his candidacy to be seen next to a car like that.

8. You're right, it is related! ;)
I'll send an e-mail, see if they'll tell me what he was driving. It's my bet he got out of the dark blue vehicle that the guy with the Bob Graham logo on his shirt is leaning against to the left.

10. Agree
The Jaguar is in a lane of moving traffic, I am sure the car didn't stop in a jampacked thoroughfare so Graham could get out. The blue vehicle is parked.

11. Inconsistent
In the related thread a poster notes the picture is in Arlington based on the bldgs in the background. The fundraiser Drudge claims Graham is arriving at in the pic was in Roanoke today, that's hundreds of miles from Arlington! Very frustrating to read these claims on the Internet . . .

7. The Jag is a bad idea.
As a general political reality, it's a very bad idea for a democrat to be seen in a non-UAW made car (think union vote). If you're going to court the union vote, they see it as spitting in their face if you drive a non-UAW car (which, if i'm correct, Jaguars are).

Second, Jaguars are a very elite, expensive type of car. Again, it's not a good idea for a candidate trying to tap into rural supporters (think NASCAR truck), to drive a very high-end car.

These are political realities. If Graham is going to be taken seriously, he needs to adhere to them.

9. And so is a Ford Focus
Obviously we don't expect Presidential candidates crawling into a Ford Focus, tho I do understand the point being made!

Graham was reported as the driver of a 99 Mercury Sable in an article a few days ago. My point is, this Jag (if that's even the car he got out of) is not his and it's not as if he is regularly spotted in a "non-UAW car." Honestly, I think we have time better spent elsewhere, but I understand anything is fair game in a Presidential race.
