"When our airmen were flying over Kosovo, Tom DeLay led House Republicans to vote not to support their activities -- when American troops were in combat," Clark said. "To me, that's a real indicator of a man who's motivated not by patriotism or support for the troops but by partisan political purposes."

1. Here's an interesting quote from Clark in the article:
"The issue is the issues," he said. "What does America stand for? How do we want to behave in the world? What does it take to fulfill America's dreams at home?"

2. I liked the blow dry comment Clark made
Apparently DeLay had said something about Clark's hair, back during the run up to Iraq when Clark was consulting with CNN - they played the clip of DeLay for Clark in this interview, it mentioned hair, and Clark laughed and said you tell me who has the blow dried hair.

The GOP best sharpen their tongue if Clark runs, he has a sharp wit.
God, I wanna see a Dean/Clark ticket!!

3. Delay is evil . . .
How he has managed to conduct his activities under the radar of public awareness says much about media bias and the weakness of our own party. I'm already for Clark but by telling the truth about Delay he'll attract even more Democrats to his corner.

6. You know, the way the media creeps play this
is like, if a dem goes on the attack vigorously enough they might give a little one-cycle coverage, but don't look to the press for any initiative or investigation. They may see the burglar in the room stuffing his bag, but until the dogs bark, not a peep from them. Then it's about the gray dog outbarking the brown dog, and the gray was once suspected of hiding the brown dog's toys. Meanwhile, out the window, clean; meetup back at the rose garden.

9. The blow dry comment
Clark is the only person who can say such things, has the guts to say them, and most important get away with it. Being a former general totally disarms the entire media/conservative/GOP arsenal against Democrats which I will boil down to it's most raw essentials.

G Rated: wimp

X Rated: Nigger loving faggot

The resume and the persona simply render this assumption about any Democrat inoperable against him. The talkng heads simply fear him. He is smart. Really really smart. Too bad it wasn't Russert. Clark would make Timmy pee his pants if he tried his usual tricks.

The stakes here a much too big people to niggle about the liberal bonafides of Clark. He can win and end the neocon nightmare. There is no alternative. It's Clark or lose.

<<X Rated: Nigger loving faggot>>

DUers please don't reprimand Rapier for this post. He made that statement in the GOP's voice, not his own.

defendants in the criminal justice system? I don't know that much about him.
