Poll: Lieberman Down, Dean Up In Michigan

Support for U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman has dropped over the summer among Michigan Democrats while support for former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean has surged, according to a poll released Wednesday.

The senator from Connecticut, who campaigned in 2000 for vice president as Al Gore's running mate, dropped from 27 percent in a May poll conducted by Lansing-based EPIC/MRA to 19 percent in the latest survey.

Dean, who was near the bottom of the pack at 4 percent in the spring poll, was supported by 13 percent of those surveyed by EPIC/MRA from July 29 through Monday.

I don't think Dean can be teh conservative Republican you make him out to be since he was elected five times as Governor of a left of center state. truly he has been elected five times and a lot of liberals are voting for him. Afterall this is a state with a socialist statewide representative, a Independent senator who used to be a republican but voted like a liberal democrat and a liberal democratic senator (Leahy)--Dean couldn't be as reactionary as you make him out to be or else he couldn't win in such a state.
