Poll question: (Non-Dean Supporters) What would you do if Dean got the nomination?
Edited on Wed Aug-06-03 03:55 AM by TSIAS
I know somebody asked this question earlier about what would happen with Kerry got the nomination. The results seemed to be positive towards voting for Kerry.

So, what would you do if Dean gets the nomination? Please vote if you are currently committed to another candidate or undecided.

2. I can't vote for Dean
He is to conservative for me. I would write in Clark. I believe I have to vote, it is my duty. But I can't vote for the lesser of two evils. I must vote for a candidate I feel has earned my vote.

4. I'm ABB as well
I do have some problems with the premise of pledging unconditional allegiance to a party's nominee. It would seem that I was condoning allowing factions within a party (like the DLC) to engage in skullduggery to rig the primary system. Not saying that they have intenions of doing that.

However, in this case, beating the "incumbent" is way too important. In a nutshell, that is why I'm ABB as well in 2004.

6. yeah and you respect DK as well as anyone does Taylor
Glad you and some of the other Deannies respect DK as well. No hard feelings after tonight? Sorry Dennis just needs to hammer away too on stuff he doesnt like, I know most of you like Howard because he does the same, and I have always liked Kucinich on the issues and tonight he showed me he to has the fighting agenda.

7. At this point, who can say for sure? Dean is too conservative for

me but would I vote for him as the lesser evil? I really don't know now. I am sure I won't vote for Bush* but would I vote for the Dem, no matter who it is? I don't know. I'm increasingly disillusioned with the current Democratic Party.

9. I look at it this way, DB: I'm worth more than that, and so's my vote.
So I'm totally unwilling to surrender it to the lesser evil just because other people refuse to vote for the best. If anyone really cared about winning, they'd go with the best candidate.

12. Vote for Dean, of course.
He's not my top choice, but he's close. Besides, any of our nominees would be a million times better than Bush.
