Nailing Republicans and Selling the Democratic Agenda
Republicans are hypocrites; they are masters of the big lie. Republicans make like they’re the party of the people while in truth they cater to business interests with little concern for the public good. Democrats on the other hand fight for the democratic vision of government of the people, by the people, and for the people. It is we who can justly wrap ourselves in the flag. Dems though often aren’t very good at communicating, marketing, their policies in a way that the average voter gets. But there is a way … in my YouTube video and in my book, We Still Hold These Truths, endorsed by James Fallows and John Podesta, you’ll find an overarching principle that drives the Democratic agenda and explains it to the American people in a way they will get.

1. So Naive
Passing handouts to big Pharma(or do you honestly believe the secret meetings between Obama and Pharma execs were to get Grandma better prices?) and insurance(mandate with no public option? It couldn't have been better for insurance...), wholesale continuance of EVERY Bush terror policy that was derided as evil and un-American, massively ramping up indiscriminate drone attacks in secret wars (Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia...), actively trying to have US citizens assassinated abroad.....

These are the things you feel "proud" of? These are the things that allow you to "wrap yourself in the flag"?

Neither party gives a crap about you. That should be painfully obvious. Yet here we are with either side simply shouting "Four legs good, two legs bad" over and over again.

2. I beg to differ
I"m not saying the Dems are without their ties to big business or that I'm not disappointed in some things, but still, bottom line, I do feel that the party does give a crap about the average person. I don't think it's just window dressing. Certainly, there is a huge difference in the attitude of the Republicans and the Democrats. If you think the Dems are bad, then the Republicans are off the chart! If for you it's a question of the lesser of two evils, that's a shame, because there is lots to feel positive about. And I am not delusional!

3. Then they've got you
hook, line, and sinker. Don't you think party Republicans think the EXACT same thing you think but flipped around? What ever changes when we "switch" parties?

Do the wars stop?

Does the spending stop?

Do the encroaches on our liberties stop?

Does the raping of the public and crushing of small business by corporatism stop?

No. None of it does. It just gets glossed over with a red/blue coat of paint.
