Finally, a Democrat who is not afraid to fight the GOPsters. It is GREAT to see our side take off the blinders and realize that playing by rules that the enemy ignores is suicidal.

Pennsylvania tea-party activists, GOP, and Democrats distance themselves from Jim Schneller

"For about a day, Jim Schneller of Wayne basked in the glow of having gathered 7,900 signatures to get his name on the ballot as an independent, tea-party-minded candidate for Congress..."

After seeing the pukes actively pursue Limpie's "Operation Chaos" so enthusiastically, it is wonderful to see them get a dose of their own medicine. I just hope that the Democrats in PA do not bend over too far in "distancing themselves" from this. Today's story had a different tone than the one from yesterday - maybe they are simply being (politically) prudent in not gloating too much.

Yesterday's story...

Tea-party candidate for Congress gets Democratic help

"An independent candidate with a tea-party streak jumped into the Seventh District congressional race this week, adding a twist to a hotly contested open race that has remained bitter even during the summer doldrums.

And the newest candidate, Jim Schneller, a conservative who could siphon votes away from Republican Patrick Meehan this fall, has Democrats to thank for almost half his nearly 8,000 signatures, according to Meehan's campaign..."

There will be time for backing away from "hardball (or low-rent) politics" after the GOP is relegated to the dungheap of history.

1. Many of Ralph Nader's petitions in 2000 and 2004 came from Republicans
It was not illegal.

In one case I remember, Republican "Team Leaders" in Virginia were circulating Nader petitions at monster truck rallies. Guess who goes to those? Good old boy Southern white men. In other words, Bush's base. "Help out President Bush," the Team Leaders told the people. "Help President Bush by splitting off the liberal votes."
