Now we will see if the Democrats can reverse the poll numbers of congresmen who are vulnerable in the polls.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Conservative Christians, a key base for the Republican Party, said on Saturday they were targeting 16 Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in the 2010 congressional elections.

Four other Democratic senators and 11 U.S. representatives were on the list, which was released at a summit in Washington of conservative "values voters" who are rallying against President Barack Obama's agenda.

The mid-term elections will be the first national test for Obama, who has seen his approval ratings fall in recent months as he and his ruling Democratic Party attempted to push through a sweeping overhaul of the healthcare sector.

The release of the hit list -- it also included Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut -- was one of the opening shots in a Republican effort to pare some of the huge gains made by Democrats in the 2006 and 2008 elections.

At the mid-August Netroots Nation convention, Nate Silver, a Democratic analyst whose uncannily accurate, stat-driven predictions have made his website 538.com a must read among political junkies, predicted that Republicans will win between 20 and 50 seats next year. He further alarmed an audience of progressive activists by arguing that the GOP has between a 25 and 33 percent chance of winning back control of the House.

“A lot of Democratic freshmen and sophomores will be running in a much tougher environment than in 2006 and 2008 and some will adapt to it, but a lot of others will inevitably freak out and end up losing,” Silver told POLITICO. “Complacency is another factor: We have volunteers who worked really hard in 2006 and in 2008 for Obama but it’s less compelling to preserve the majority.”

1. I hope the IRS is on the ball with these clowns
And the moment they start using their churches to spew their political garbage the IRS revokes their tax free status.

8. If any churches are getting involved with politicals...
Then they should lose their 501 (c)3 status, and should be subject to their state, county and city real estate taxes and personal property taxes and have to pay sales tax on anything they purchase.

4. Keep in mind that this "Values Voter" convention features . . .
Free bibs to the attendees to keep the drool off their T-shirts. They're so wacky they chased Fux News out because their deliberations are too sensitive for the "liberal media" to report on.

9. Repukes will win back control of the House if the Dems pass Baucus's
health insurance lobbyist written bill.

If the Dems don't pass a robust public option that we all have a chance to purchase but pass the mandates, the Dems will lose.
