Rudy asks "How do you lower the taxes of people who don't pay taxes?"
Maybe he should ask the people who dodge the taxes best ... the corporations who haven't paid taxes ...

2. Ding! We have a winner. God, I knew Rudy was dumb.
There's a reason his campaign crapped out before it even began.

3. How do they figure "they" don't pay taxes?
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 07:11 AM by notadmblnd
I have no earned income, but I do pay taxes. I pay taxes on my savings. I pay taxes on clothes, I pay taxes on gas and cigarettes and alcohol and on my cell phone bill and my heat and my electricity. Just how do I not pay taxes? Somebody, give me a GD job and I'll pay income taxes just the the rest of "them."

5. Instead of someone "giving" you a job
Why don't you go out and find one? I'm not saying it's easy, but you need to do what you got to do. Weather it means changing careers, moving, whatever. I don't know your situation, but it seems like your able to work, so why don't you?

6. Spread the Wealth Analogy
Picture this, you have several straight A and AB students in a class, and they decide to spread the good grades to be fair to the underachievers-lazy butts. Everybody in class now receives a C, not good but passing. It sounds a little like socialism to me.

8. Study says most corporations pay no U.S. income taxes - Reuters - Aug 12, 2008
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN1249465620080812

Most U.S. and foreign corporations doing business in the United States avoid paying any federal income taxes, despite trillions of dollars worth of sales, a government study released on Tuesday said.

The Government Accountability Office said 72 percent of all foreign corporations and about 57 percent of U.S. companies doing business in the United States paid no federal income taxes for at least one year between 1998 and 2005.

More than half of foreign companies and about 42 percent of U.S. companies paid no U.S. income taxes for two or more years in that period, the report said.

During that time corporate sales in the United States totaled $2.5 trillion, according to Democratic Sens. Carl Levin of Michigan and Byron Dorgan of North Dakota, who requested the GAO study.
