1. yes it is
I think he is everywhere this week due to the covers of Time and Newsweek as well as the positive polling numbers from Iowa.

4. He's not...
Lieberman's (and the DLC's) panic suggests that he's the real deal.

He has his own company now. Remember, they do a job, like Lancelot...

He is in private practice now. Here is his link.

9. You're kidding right?
I think you are, so I'll take your post in that spirit. The most frustrating part of politics is trying to get the Dem message out and get people to participate in the process. I was talking to a 19 year old recently trying to get him to register to vote (merely register for heaven's sake!), and I asked him about our candidates to try to get an idea of what an uninformed person thought. He couldn't tell me the names of any of the 9 running. The only name he even recognized was Lieberman (explains the polls to me anyway).

His response to my tirade about dying soldiers was, and I quote, "They're still fighting?" Arrgh! Of course, my response to this 19 yr old was that he'd better start watching out for that giant sucking sound. He didn't get that either!

8. Quite Honestly
he is the 'man bites dog' story of the campaign, for now. He is doing unique things. So while the mass of front runners are trying to deviate slightly from Bush's proposed course in security and policy while they rail against his leadership, Dean is trying to be the biggest difference with Bush and rail against him over and over. And unlike Kucinich, he has momentum right now so the media is willing to listen. I have no doubt Dennis is the most diametrically opposed of the electable candidates to Bush, but he just doesn't have a voice in the media.

Even Dean's son's legal problems have helped keep Dean's name in the press thus raising people's awareness about him.

I think some people in the media are building him up because they like to see people fall. Others see him as a breathe of fresh air, especially in comparison to Bush's overly programmed presidency.
