who agrees with what the Iraqi people cry out for, as opposed to someone who really wants to keep what's not working (and really will have to "surge" again and again as the Iraqi people keep trying to return to the sovereign nation status it had before ...) as the continued plan?

1. Yeah, seems logical.
But logic also appears to be in very short supply, and common sense even more.

2. I think Cheney just wanted Iraq to be our colony in the Middle East
and I don't think Obama wants Iraq to be our colony.

3. give Iraqis a vote in the US election
"Should Iraqis get a vote in the USA? - Surely Iraqis are entitled to vote in the presidential elections since their ruler, until things change, is the President of the United States, whose office decides who lives and who dies in Iraq."
http://www.politicsdebate.co.uk/politics33.html

Surely the logical way to stop terrorism in Iraq is to give the Iraqis the same degree of control over their leadership (the US government) as the Americans and their soldiers!

4. actually, I don't believe that their vote counts
until they've been naturalized ...

Then, of course, we'd have to officially recognize them as U.S. territory (similar to American Samoa, Puerto Rico, etc.)

Even then, their vote wouldn't count.

But, with all the bribery going on right now, who's to say they wouldn't take the cash and vote for McCain?
