Sen. Obama's response to Sen. Clinton's speech:
http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/06/clinton_endorses_obama.php

Here's Obama's response:

"Obviously, I am thrilled and honored to have Senator Clinton's support. But more than that, I honor her today for the valiant and historic campaign she has run. She shattered barriers on behalf of my daughters and women everywhere, who now know that there are no limits to their dreams. And she inspired millions with her strength, courage and unyielding commitment to the cause of working Americans. Our party and our country are stronger because of the work she has done throughout her life, and I'm a better candidate for having had the privilege of competing with her in this campaign. No one knows better than Senator Clinton how desperately America and the American people need change, and I know she will continue to be in the forefront of that battle this fall and for years to come," said U.S. Senator Barack Obama.

8. Her speech was to suspend HER campaign. Mentioning herself and what she
wanted to accomplish more is expected.

11. I find myself thinking...
that some people in here are actually repubs in disguise, trying to keep driving a wedge.

Thinking back to the last 2 elections, the total lack of grace in "victory," lording it over the "losers," rubbing our noses in their shit daily, refusing even a thinly veiled attempt at compromise let alone unity, determined to keep the country divided so they can "rule," "our way or the highway" well...

So for me, I'm just going to ignore the sore, graceless, obnoxious winners. Neither Obama nor Clinton was my 1st or 2nd choice. I'm happy with either of them, and I'm happy with both of them. I would be happy with Clinton as Veep, or Senate Majority Leader or Health Care Czar or whatever she and Obama decide.

10. Gosh, if his daughter runs for president
Will they tell her they don't want a dynasty? Because, by Obama campaign standards, she just isn't allowed to run and doesn't deserve the smallest decency or consideration if she does.
