The lack of focus on real issues in favor of a tabloid format was especially sad with the Penn. primary so soon. Don't voters need to know more about the candidates position on the real issues and not the gossip rag crap?

Dear Mr. Salinger,

I'm writing to express my outrage and disgust at the way Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos moderated last night's debate. I turned it off before the 52-minute mark, so I was not able to see a single substantive question from them.

I don't mind so much that they were obviously focused on attacking Barack Obama, as much as I'm incensed that they think the American people are so stupid that we still care to hear about these non-issues.

People are dying in Iraq, gas is over $4 a gallon and the Bush Administration has just been shown to have planned and authorized torture at the highest levels. What kind of priorities do you have at ABC news that make you think "Bittergate" and "Snipergate" are the most important things to discuss in a presidential debate?

Dear ABC:

A have watched ABC news for a long time (I'm a senior citizen). At last night's
"debate", your "moderators" Gibson and Stephanopoulos did not represent the
seriousness and objectivity that I have expected. I can remember Huntley &
Brinkley and others like them who were true professionals. Last night's
"debate" was on the level of the cheap Hardball and Hannity & Colmes shows where
tabloid style issues were pursued.

On evening news, I have been following Gibson and will now switch to CBS or NBC.
After watching his performance last night, I am extremely disappointed.
