Did white supremacist bank robbers aid McVeigh?
Did white supremacist bank robbers aid McVeigh?

WASHINGTON - FBI agents destroyed evidence and failed to share other information that raised the possibility that a gang of white supremacist bank robbers may have assisted Timothy McVeigh during the Oklahoma City bombing, according to documents never introduced at McVeigh's trial. Both the FBI supervisor who ran the Oklahoma City investigation and the veteran agent who was in command at the bombing scene say the new evidence, detailed in documents obtained by The Associated Press, is serious enough to warrant reopening the inquiry nine years later.

The evidence, never shared with Oklahoma City investigators or defense lawyers, includes documents showing the Aryan Republican Army bank robbers possessed explosive blasting caps similar to those McVeigh stole and a driver's license possibly stolen during the
bombing plot. -- ASSOCIATED PRESS

1. Some people wanted McVeigh dead, and fast.
This is another reason I dislike the death penalty. There may have been more information we needed to gleen from that guy. We might still be in danger because of what we don't know, that he could have told us.

3. That is basicly
because he was the brainwashed fall guy. He needed to be dead merely to keep him from breaking the manipulation that was undoubtedly done to him in order to take the blame for the conspirators.

2. FBI Questions Outlived McVeigh - CBS
In a drama played out behind closed doors, senior FBI agents unsuccessfully sought permission in 2001 to interview Timothy McVeigh to resolve lingering questions about the case before the convicted Oklahoma City bomber was put to death, officials say.

The agents wanted to clear up uncertainties about McVeigh's whereabouts on specific dates that were left unanswered by his public statements and the evidence, essentially filling in gaps in his timeline before the bombing, the officials told The Associated Press.

The plan was scrapped when the government couldn't resolve who would attend the interview or how it would be conducted. Officials also became distracted by the belated discovery of some 4,000 pages of documents that had not been turned over to McVeigh's defense during his trial.
