C.J. Czaia-The candidate who WILL unseat Katherine Harris!

C.J. Czaia announced that he will enter the race for US House of Representatives in District 13 of Sarasota,FL last November. I truly believe that Czaia has the support and backing to unseat Katherine Harris, as fellow Democrat Jan Schneider came close to doing in 2002.

1. Realistic appraisal of the chances?

I thought that was a safe GOP district. That's not the case? Or emotions this year are such that we can get our hopes up?

2. Yes and No

Yes, Sarasota Co. voted in the majority for Bush in 2000, however there seems to be a change of heart among the majority of voters in the District regarding Harris.

According to the website of CJ Czaia's, in October when likely voters all over the district were polled, a majority said that they would be likely to vote for Czaia over Harris in 2004 and 46 percent said that they would rate her job performance as "poor".

Im not saying that this will be a blowout by any means, Im saying that there is a realistic shot that either Czaia, or Schneider(who came very close to beating Harris in 02) could unseat her.

I for one will work hard to turn the cities of Sarasota and Bradenton and District 13 as a whole in direction of change, both in Florida and in the country as a whole. The first step to doing this is to start locally and the first step in making a local change is unseating Katherine Harris.
