Now that we're 3 years into the Bush presidency, I suspect that your neighbors, your co-workers, and your family have had plenty of discussions about the impact of this administration. Jobs lost, factories closing, education, security, health care, the war in Iraq, and John Ashcroft's Justice Department... there have been a lot of things to talk about.








And you've probably discussed a way to make things better: replacing George W. Bush.








As this campaign has progressed, Democrats have had opportunities to hear from a number of great alternatives to Bush. The field of primary candidates has been varied and strong. But there are fewer candidates in the race today than there were even a week ago.








If your friends supported Howard Dean, Wesley Clark -- or any of the other great alternatives to George W. Bush -- I hope you'll start another discussion. Please ask your friends to join you in supporting John Edwards. Take time today and this week to reach out to your friends. Send e-mails and make phone calls. There are some very important ways you can help the campaign today:




Contribute: Take a moment to give a contribution of $25, $50, or $100 to the campaign to support our get-out-the-vote message. Ask your friends to do the same.



Send E-Mails And Make Phone Calls: Talk to your friends. If they previously supported other candidates, tell them why John Edwards is our best opportunity to defeat George W. Bush. Ask them to get involved.



Two Things To Plan For Tuesday: A supporter in New Jersey has come up with a great fundraising idea: Pack your lunch at home on Tuesday. Instead of eating out on Tuesday afternoon, make a lunch-sized contribution to the campaign. On Tuesday evening, join other Edwards supporters near you at this month's national Meetup.
