Poll question: Who should chair the DSCC in 2006?
All right, this is a long, long way away and we have an election to win first. However, The Hill did a recent article about who would be chairing the NRSC (which will also be having a replacement) and I was wondering who the DUers thought should chair the DSCC. I think the current chair and vice chair (Corzine and Stabenow) have done an excellent job of recruiting for this cycle and we should have a real chance at the majority. However, both Corzine and Stabenow are up for reelection in 2006, so therefore are barred from holding this seat.

Anyways, who do you think should be the next chair of the DSCC? They are typically newer (first or second term) politicians.

1. I voted Pryor

He'll have had four years to make political connections, he is the only truly freshman Democratic senator of 2002 (Frank Lautenberg technically being the other) and he's very young. This would be a great way for him to gain some clout in Washington for future races.

Otherwise I'd go with Sen. Schumer, since he's a proven money-getter.
